Jeff Werber, D.V.M.

Dr. Werber is one of PetCARE TV’s veterinary spokesmen and programming hosts, and he also serves as the Director and Chairman of our Veterinary Advisory Board. Dr. Werber is a nationally recognized spokesperson for veterinary health and welfare. With impressive scholastic credentials and a fast rising media profile, the Emmy Award winning Dr. Werber has become one of the nation’s foremost medical journalists. Dr. Werber became a veterinary advisor to Philip Cohen in 1987, and in 1991 Dr Werber appeared on camera as the host for Philip Cohen & Associates’ production of “PetPourri”. This video series, produced for the Auxiliary to the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), won a “Crystal Reel Award”, the “Bronze Apple Award” from the National Education Film & Video Festival, and was a finalist for the coveted “Golden Reel Award” from the International TVA Festival. Since that time, Dr. Werber has appeared as a regular on over twenty television series, including his own Discovery and Animal Planet network series “PetCetera”.

Dr. Cruz is one of PetCARE TV’s veterinary spokesmen and programming hosts, and she also serves as a Member of our Veterinary Advisory Board. Dr. Cruz is a graduate of the University of California at Davis, and she has been practicing companion animal medicine at Laguna Hills Animal Hospital for over 20 years. Dr. Cruz serves as a multimedia consultant for several major veterinary pharmaceutical companies along with being featured on numerous local and national television and radio shows. Dr. Bernadine is a past chair for the AVMA’s Council on Communications, and is the author of the ‘edu-taining’ client-oriented book, “The Secret Sex Life of Dogs and Cats”.

Dr. Bellows graduated from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, a Fellow of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry, and a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College. He has lectured extensively in the U.S. and Europe. As the author of many articles and two books, Dr. Bellows practices at Hometown Animal Hospital and Dental Clinic in Weston, Florida.

After graduating from Sydney University in 1969, Dr. Blair immediately entered small animal practice. Dr. Blair has been actively involved in Australian veterinary affairs, including serving twelve years on the Veterinary Surgeons Board, and fifteen years with the Australian Veterinary Association committee. In addition, he has obtained his membership from the Australian College of Small Animal Surgery.

Collin Burrows, B.Vet.Med, Ph.D.

Dr. Burrows is a Professor of Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine. His specialty is the study of canine and feline gastrointestinal, hepatic, and pancreatic disease. His research has focused on canine gastrointestinal motility in health and disease, and on the relationshipbetween diet and gastrointestinal disease. Dr. Burrows is a graduate of the Royal Veterinary College, University of London (B.Vet. Med.) and the University of Pennsylvania (Ph.D.).

Tom Catanzaro, D.V.M.

Dr. Catanzaro earned his doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1974 and his Masters in Healthcare Administration from Baylor in 1985. He has worked for the Department of Defense in Europe and as Director of Hospital Services at the American Animal Hospital Association. He started Veterinary Practice Consultants® (Catanzaro & Associates, Inc.) and became the first veterinarian to become board certified in Healthcare Management (ACHE). In 1996, he achieved Fellow within ACHE. In 2007, he transitioned into Veterinary Consulting International, servicing both hemispheres. He has 15 books in print, 30 monographs in the VIN Bookstore, and over 350 different periodical publications and meeting proceedings circulating.

A graduate of Ontario Veterinary College, Dr. Coombs initially practiced in England where he received his Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) status. He has worked in equine and small animal medicine in the U.S. and Canada, and now owns Eglinton Veterinary Facilities in Toronto. Dr. Coombs has authored articles for veterinary journals, pet magazines, and newspapers, including his own syndicated column. He serves on many professional executive boards and committees within the veterinary industry, and consults with numerous national and international pharmaceutical and veterinary industry corporations.

Dr. Landsberg graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1976 and is a partner in two animal practices in Thornhill, Ontario. He is a companion animal practitioner and a veterinary behaviorist. He hosts his own TV pet show on the Life Network and a call-in radio show in Toronto and Montreal. He has worked as a veterinary consultant for many pharmaceutical companies and veterinary journals, and has co-authored numerous publications for AAHA on animal behavior.

Dr. Melman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Illinois. He and his father were veterinarians for the White House, the Secret Service and the Washington, D.C. Police Dept. He is the founder of DermaPet, the manufacturer of natural, safe, and effective dermatological and dental products distributed worldwide. He operates referral practices in dermatology and behavior in Maryland and California and is an international lecturer.
